Everything here — writing, charts, code snippets, and lab entries — is provided for general information and interest. It reflects my own views and not those of any employer, past or present. Numbers, analyses, and conclusions may be wrong or become outdated; do not rely on them for decisions with money, health, or legal consequences without checking independently.

No warranty

The site, and any code or data published on it, are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or anything linked from it.

Use of the material

Unless a page says otherwise, the writing and images are © Aaron Morris. You may quote and link freely with attribution. Code samples may be used under the terms of the license in the repository they come from; where no license is stated, treat them as MIT.

External links and demos

Links to other sites, including demos hosted elsewhere, are provided for convenience. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content, availability, or terms.

SMS Terms (Alfred)

Program description. Alfred is a private text-message assistant operated by Morris Labs for a small number of people who have individually opted in. After opting in, you can text Alfred requests, such as recording a task, checking a to-do list, or asking a question, and Alfred replies by text. Alfred also sends messages on its own only when you have asked for them, such as scheduled reminders and task summaries. No marketing, promotional, or third-party content is sent.

Consent. By providing your mobile number and opting in, whether verbally or in writing, you give consent directly to Morris Labs to send recurring automated text messages to that number, and you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. You must be the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency varies and depends on how often you text Alfred and which reminders you set. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details on your plan.

Opt out: reply STOP to any message to cancel. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages unless you opt in again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your carrier. How we handle your phone number and opt-in data is described in thePrivacy Policy.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Availability

This is a hobby site. It may change, break, or go offline at any time without notice.

Changes

These terms may be revised; the date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
